Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has lauded the “Pakistan-China five-point initiative aimed at promoting dialogue and resolving the conflict”, the Foreign Office (FO) says.

He held a conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar last night and thanked him for the warm hospitality extended during the recent foreign ministers’ meeting in Islamabad.

“Both leaders reaffirmed the close fraternal ties between Pakistan and Egypt, and agreed to remain closely engaged,” the FO said.
