A US-Israeli strike in northwestern Iraq has killed two fighters from the former paramilitary coalition Hashed al-Shaabi, the Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) alliance says, AFP reports.

An official with the group tells AFP that there are “two dead and six wounded in a Zionist-American aggression” on a position in the Tal Afar district in Nineveh Governorate, near the Syrian border.

The PMF IS part of Iraq’s regular armed forces, although it also contains pro-Iran factions.
