Iran’s Tasnim news agency reports that the army’s ground forces commander has recommended that the families of US personnel in the Middle East “contact their children … within the next 24 hours”.

In a post on X, General Ali Jahan Shahi says, “Centcom (US Central Command) has resorted to severe censorship in announcing the statistics of killed American soldiers.”

Recommending that the families contact US personnel, he adds, “We’ll see what happens.”
