Russian President Vladimir Putin and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have spoken by phone and expressed serious concern about the military and political situation in the Middle East, Reuters reports citing the Kremlin.

The parties emphasised the importance of bringing hostilities to an end as soon as possible, it adds.
