KARACHI, June 25: Eman Malik overcame heat and opponents to register two wins in the 16th Talent Hunt Sindh ranking tennis tournament at the CDGK sports complex on Sunday.

She proved too good for Sammer Essa by inflicting straight 6-0, 6-0 defeat to cruise into second round of women’s singles. Later playing her second match, she was home against Mariyam by the identical score line in the girls U-17 singles.

Yasir, youngest of the Khan clan, downed Abbas Raza 6-3, 6-1 to make his way into the next round. He got a bye in the first round.

Top seed Zuhair Raza, fourth seed Abdul Rehman and Anas Yosuf Zai were through to the last four in the boys U-15 singles.

Talented Khwaja Hamza and Shehryar Ahmed qualified to meet each other in the boys U-11 final by winning their pro-set matches.
