German inflation has jumped to its highest level since January 2024 in March on the back of rocketing energy prices due to the US-Israel war on Iran, AFP reports citing official data.

Consumer prices rose by 2.7 per cent compared with the same month a year earlier, according to preliminary data from the federal statistics agency Destatis.
