The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) defence ministry said the country’s air defences have intercepted 16 ballistic missiles and 42 drones today, claiming that they originated from Iran.

“Since the start of Iran’s brazen attacks, the UAE air defences have intercepted 414 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,914 drones,” the ministry said in a statement on X.
