NAROWAL: Two persons died and three others were injured when two speeding motorcycles collided in Zafarwal on Friday.

A Narowal Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that they received information that two speeding motorcycles collided head-on on the Zafarwal-Shakargarh Road near the Pindi Bodi stop.

The spokesperson said that rescuers found 27-year-old Sujawal Hussain, 25-year-old Jawad Yousuf, 23-year-old Muhammad Owais, 38-year-old Muhammad Afzal and 28-year-old Zeeshan Ali seriously injured in the accident.

He said that the rescuers provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to the Zafarwal THQ Hospital.

However, Sujawal Hussain of Jhat village in Pasrur tehsil and Jawad Yousuf from Shakargarh tehsil died before reaching the hospital due to their critical condition.

The police completed the necessary legal proceedings and handed over the dead bodies of the deceased to their relatives.

Meanwhile, four people were injured when a loaded trolley overturned in Sheikhupura.

A Rescue 112 spokesperson said that a trolley overturned on a bridge near Kot Ranjit Singh. He said that a rescue team immediately reached the spot and found Liaqat Ali (45), Adnan Akram (40), Muhammad Hamza (21) and Hikmat Ali (25) seriously injured in the accident.

He said that they were provided first aid and were shifted to the hospital.

The spokesperson said that the driver and his companion were trapped in the cabin and they were pulled out by the rescue team.
