RAWALPINDI: Daily water supply to Murree was increased by 8.5 million gallons after the establishment of Wasa.

This was stated by Murree Wasa Managing Director Azeem Shaukat Awan while briefing Punjab Parliamentary Secretary Housing Sultan Tariq Bajwa during his visit to Murree Wasa .

He said that installation of filtration plants in Murree has been completed and installation of manhole covers and cleaning of drains was going on.

He said that fire hydrants have been installed in Murree for uninterrupted supply of water to Rescue 1122.

Speaking on the occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Housing Sultan Bajwa said that the establishment of Wasa Murree reflected the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to provide clean drinking water.

He said that the provision of clean drinking water and improving the drainage system throughout Punjab is the top priority of the government.

He said that Murree is an important tourist centre of Punjab, provision of basic facilities is the government’s priority.

He directed effective measures for service delivery and redressal of public grievances. He said that Wasa Murree has shown remarkable performance in a short period of time.
