Vietnam’s finance ministry says it has suspended environmental protection and special consumption taxes on fuels to stabilise the domestic market, Reuters reports.

The removal of the taxes on gasoline, diesel and jet fuel will be effective until April 15, the ministry said in a statement.

The suspension of the taxes will reduce revenue for state coffers by 7.2 trillion dong ($270 million) a month, it said.
