FO Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi has emphasised that Pakistan is “striving for peace” and cessation of hostilities in the Middle East.

“How we achieve it — whether it is through good offices, through facilitation or mediation — I leave it to your, these are the paradigms…,” he added.

Answering a query about whether Pakistan was facilitating dialogue or mediating between the US and Iran, he referred to PM Shehbaz Sharif’s statement of Pakistan’s offer to “facilitate or host” the talks.

“Hurdles will come on the way,” he remarked, stressing that the ultimate goal was peace.
