NAWABSHAH, June 24: Three people were killed and five others seriously injured when a bus collided with a trailer at Chothomail on the National Highway, near Sakrand, on Saturday.

Masoodur Rehman, 25, Sajid Mehmood, 45, and Mushtaq Ahmed, 40, died on the spot and five others seriously injured when a Karachi-bound bus (JB-0002) coming from Rawalpindi collided with a trailer (JV-964) at Chothomail on the National Highway, near Sakrand.

The injured were identified as Shabana, Rashid, Kaleem and two unknown persons who were taken to the Sakrand taluka hospital.

The trailer driver managed to escape. No FIR was lodged till the filing of the report.
