French President Emmanuel Macron has called on Iran to “engage in good faith” in talks to end the war in the Middle East, after a call with his Iranian counterpart, reports AFP.
“I called on Iran to engage in good faith in negotiations,” Macron posted on X, saying he had also urged an end to “unacceptable” attacks on countries in the region and to “restore freedom of navigation” in the vital Strait of Hormuz, whose effective closure by Iranian forces has sent global oil and gas prices soaring.
