Deputy PM and FM Ishaq Dar has spoken with his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed and emphasised that “dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path forward”, the Foreign Office (FO) says.

It said both deputy premiers “exchanged views on the evolving regional situation”.

The FO added that Dar “underscored the importance of peace and stability, calling for immediate de-escalation and emphasising that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path forward”.

“He also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives, including three Pakistani nationals, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast solidarity with the UAE,” FO added.
