An attack on Iran’s northwestern city of Urmia has killed five people, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, reports Al Jazeera.

“American-Zionist” warplanes struck residential parts of the city around 3:45am (00:15 GMT), Tasnim said.

The agency shared videos of rubble and interiors of homes that appeared to have been destroyed. Al Jazeera could not immediately verify the videos.
