Oman’s interior minister, Badr Albusaidi, has warned in a post on X that the economic problems caused by the US-Israeli war on Iran could get “much worse” if the conflict continues.

“Whatever your view of Iran, this war is not of their making. This is already causing widespread economic problems, and I fear they promise to get much worse if the war continues,” he wrote on X.

He added that Oman was working “intensively to put in place safe passage arrangements for the Strait of Hormuz”.
