Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has held a telephone call with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, on the prevailing regional situation, according to the Foreign Office (FO).

“Both leaders expressed deep concern over the ongoing regional escalation and its wider implications,” the FO statement said, adding that Dar underscored the need for collective efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent further instability.

He emphasised that dialogue and adherence to international law remained essential for ensuring peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond.
