BAHAWALPUR, June 23: A consortium of six premier banks launched on Friday automated cheque clearing system in the district.

The new system will enable the owner of cheque or draft to get the amount within a day. In this connection, the Bahawalpur branch of the system was opened under the auspices of the National Institute of Facilitation Technology.
