FAISALABAD, June 22: Police claimed on Thursday night to have killed three dacoits in an encounter on Eidgah Road and arrested two of their accomplices.

Reports said the dacoits had snatched a car on Kashmirwala bridge. The victims informed the police which chased them. On seeing the police, the robbers opened fire. During a crossfire, three bandits were killed and two of their accomplices arrested. One of the killed robbers was identified as Ishtiaq who was wanted by police in two dozen kidnapping and 15 dacoity cases. — Staff Correspondent
