Azhar shines in ICA league

ISLAMABAD, June 21: Asif Memorial and CRA checked into the semifinals of the NBP-ICA Inter-City Cricket Tournament on Tuesday scoring convincing wins over their respective rivals.

In the first quarterfinal, Asif Memorial defeated XI Star by six wickets while CRA knocked out Classic by five wickets.

Azhar Ayub's unbeaten half century helped his side overhaul XI Star's total of 133 without any difficulty.

Raheel Majeed had restricted the Stars with a haul of four for 20.

Both CRA and Asif Memorial join Diamond and Punjab in the semifinals.

In the Rawalpindi leg of the tournament, West Indies Club moved into the semifinals with a 162-run hammering of Bajwa Club.
