ORU election

LAHORE, June 21: Former inspector-general of Punjab police Saadatullah Khan and Capital Development Authority chairman Kamran Lashari are in the run for the office of president of the Old Ravians Union.

The ORU elections will be held on June 25, following a general body meeting. Asad Ahmad and Mansoor Feroze are in the run for the post of vice-president.

Afifa Janjua will contest against Talat Altaf Khan for the office of vice-president (women) and Humayum Masood Khan will face Tayyab Rizvi for the post of associate secretary. Mian Muhammad Ahmad Chhachhar and Muhammad Umar Binyameen will vie for the seat of treasurer.

Ghulam Murtaza Paracha, Hamid Nawaz Khan, Maqsood Ahmad, Najum Latif, Liaquat Ali and Sardar Sajjad Haider are candidates for the executive committee. Prof Ahmad Husain, Shamim Ahmad, Mahmood Saeed Rawn and Naveed Saeed have already been elected unopposed. — Staff Reporter
