TOBA TEK SINGH, June 21: Contract educators of the district expressed grave concern that the provincial government employees who were recruited on contract were regularly receiving 30 per cent of basic salary as social security but they have been deprived of it.

In a memorandum sent on Wednesday to the chief minister, they said under the contract policy of 2005, the government was bound to bring all contract employees in its new framework but it was not implemented in accordance with contract educators of schools.

They stated that 15 per cent raise was given to contract employees in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 but they had been ignored.

They urged the chief minister to consider their request as it was a fact that even naib qasids of education department were receiving more salaries than qualified educators.
