Qatar’s defence ministry has said in a statement that the country was “attacked” today with missiles and drones from Iran starting 11:51am local time.

The ministry said that of the 14 ballistic missiles fired towards Qatar, 13 were intercepted and one fell into the territorial waters of the country. Meanwhile, all four drones sent towards Qatar were intercepted without any human casualties, the ministry said.
