The US has seen reports that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Iran’s assassinated supreme leader, has emerged as a frontrunner to succeed him, and US intelligence agencies are closely monitoring this, Reuters reports citing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
