A drone has been shot down near Baghdad International airport, reports AFP, citing Iraqi authorities.

“A small drone was downed … on the outskirts of Baghdad International Airport, with no casualties or material damage reported,” the Iraqi government’s security media cell said.

Baghdad International Airport includes a military base that hosts American advisers and previously housed US-led coalition troops.
