Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke to Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, according to the Foreign Office.

“They discussed rapidly unfolding regional situation,” the FO said. It added that Dar emphasised “efforts towards de-escalation, and advancing peace and stability in the region”.

“The two leaders agreed to remain in touch,” the statement said.
