Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity said a “limited fire” occurred after a fragment struck a fuel tank at the Doha West power and water station during the interception of a drone, the state news agency said.

Smoke billowed over a power station in northern Kuwait, three witnesses tell AFP, as Iran carried out a third day of retaliatory strikes in the Gulf.

Kuwait was hit hard earlier in the day with black smoke rising from the US embassy, an AFP correspondent saw, while US warplanes crashed in the country, without causing casualties.
