Qatar’s defence ministry said fighter jets and air defence systems of the country’s armed forces intercepted air attacks involving drones and cruise missiles launched by Iran towards the country’s airspace.

The ministry said the “early warning and detection systems identified the targets immediately upon their entry into the surveillance range”.
