Netanyahu says ‘there are signs’ that Iran’s Khamenei is dead

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed “there are signs” that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead, reports AFP. However, he did not provide any evidence.

“This morning, in a powerful surprise strike, the compound of the tyrant Ali Khamenei was destroyed in the heart of Tehran… and there are many signs that this tyrant is no longer alive.”

In a televised address, the Israeli premier said: “Today we have killed several major leaders who are involved in the nuclear program of Iran, and we will continue to target several sites of this regime.”

He said the operation will continue as long as necessary and called for “patience”. Israel has “an alliance for peace and an alliance for war,” Netanyahu said, adding that this war will lead to “real peace”.
