Sindh govt imposes ban on flying quadcopters, unmanned aerial vehicles outdoors for 60 days
The Sindh government has imposed an “immediate ban” on flying quadcopters/unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) outdoors in view of the prevailing security environment.
The ban will be applicable for a period of 60 days throughout the province with immediate effect, according to a notification by the provincial government. It will not be applicable to the use of drones by intelligence and law enforcement agencies, the notification said.
The notification added that the government considered the ban “necessary to make immediate arrangements of foolproof preventive security measures to obviate any chance of misuse by miscreants and undesirable elements”.
