5 worshippers injured in quadcopter attack in Bannu: police sources

At least five worshipper have been injured in a quadcopter attack on a mosque during Iftar time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu, according to police sources.

According to initial reports, explosive material was dropped on the mosque through a quadcopter in the incident, following which a loud blast was heard.

Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene after the incident while the injured were taken to the hospital.

Meanwhile, police and security forces are reported to have cordoned off the area.

The Counter Terrorism Department has also initiated an investigation into the incident.
