QUETTA / GWADAR: Three bullet-riddled and tortured bodies of unidentified persons were found at a filth depot in the Eastern Bypass area on the outskirts of Quetta on Saturday, while another body was recovered under a bridge in Panjgur district, police said.

Residents of the area informed the Abdul Khaliq Shaheed Police Station about the dumping of three bodies at the filth depot. After receiving the information, police rushed to the site and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Quetta after taking them into custody.

Police said the hands and feet of all three victims were tied with ropes, and they had sustained multiple bullet injuries that caused their deaths. “Torture marks were also found on the bodies. After being tortured, they were shot dead,” a police official said, adding that it seemed the victims had been killed elsewhere and their bodies later dumped in the Eastern Bypass area.

Doctors who examined the bodies at the civil hospital said they appeared to be around two days old and that the victims were aged between 17 and 23 years. The bodies were kept at the hospital for identification. Police said further investigation was underway.

Meanwhile, another bullet-riddled body was recovered from Panjgur town. Police said the body was found dumped under a bridge and was shifted to the district hospital for identification. The deceased was later identified as Nawab, a resident of the Prom area of Panjgur district. Police said he had been missing for the past nine months and had been shot dead. His family had been making continuous efforts for his recovery.
