KARACHI: A judicial commission on Thursday issued notices to the legal heirs of the victims who had lost their lives during the devastating Gul Plaza inferno.
The single-member commission headed by Justice Agha Faisal of the Sindh High Court (SHC) noted that it was considered paramount to initiate this duty by hearing the legal heirs of the deceased prior to scheduling hearings of other persons affected or concerned.
“Therefore, you are hereby required to attend the hearing set for 11am on Monday, 16.02.2026 at the office of deputy commissioner South, DC South Complex, M. A. Jinnah Road, Karachi”, it added.
The commission is also set to visit the ill-fated building on Feb 14. The Sindh government has constituted the commission after consulting with the chief justice of the SHC to probe the deadly fire incident and to fix responsibility.
