SIALKOT, June 15: Dubai-based leading Indian rice traders have hailed the unique quality of Pakistani rice, especially produced at Sialkot.

Addressing a meeting of the Sialkot-based rice exporters held here under the auspices of All Pakistan Rice Manufacturers and Exporters Association, Indian businessmen — Nishit Patel, Haresh Patel, Pinna Tan Patel, Himanchu Suresh Gandhi — said Pakistani rice had a great demand in Dubai and UAE due to its best quality and fragrance.

They said Pakistani rice exporters had a great potential to capture these markets. Speaking on the occasion, National Assembly speaker Ameer Husain said the government was making allout efforts to enhance rice exports through the active cooperation of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

Earlier, the delegation visited various leading industrial units in Sialkot and appreciated craftsmanship of manufacturers and artisans.
