SWAT: A child was killed while another injured on Thursday when explosive material went off in a garbage dump in Deolai area of Kabal tehsil here, said police.

Nasir Iqbal Karimi, spokesperson of the DPO office, said that a minor boy was killed and a girl was injured when explosive material went off with a bang in the garbage dump. The incident occurred when children were reportedly playing near a pile of garbage.

As a result, Abdul Hadi, son of Nasir Khan, died on the spot, while Madiha, daughter of Nasir Khan, sustained injuries. The injured girl was shifted to a nearby hospital.
