Swift inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame

Taylor Swift has made history as the youngest female artist inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. She joins the 2026 class alongside Alanis Morissette, Walter Afanasieff, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss, Kenny Loggins and Terry Britten and Graham Lyle.

Founded in 1969, the Hall of Fame honours songwriters whose work has shaped popular music. Fewer than 500 people have been inducted over the past 50 years.

Swift has 12 studio albums and four re-recorded “Taylor’s Versions” albums, and last year regained the rights to her first six albums. She is also the first performer to win the Grammy Album of the Year four times.

Fans of the 80s classic finally get a proper first look at the Masters of the Universe reboot, featuring live-action Eternia and cartoon-accurate versions of heroes and villains. Directed by Travis Knight, the film has been years in the making after multiple changes in writers, directors and studios.

The cast includes Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn and Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, among others. Early test screenings reportedly impressed viewers, with commentators calling it “amazing” and exceeding expectations. After set photos and teasers, fans now have a real first look, building excitement ahead of its summer release.

Percy Jackson is expanding its cast

Disney+’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians is expanding its cast for Season 3, adapting Rick Riordan’s The Titan’s Curse. Dafne Keen (Deadpool & Wolverine) will play Artemis, the “regal and honourable” goddess of the moon and hunt, described by Keen as “badass, feisty, fun and caring.”

Season 3 also adds Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, Saara Chaudry as Zoe Nightshade, Olive Avercrombie as Bianca Di Angelo and Levi Chrisopulos as Nico Di Angelo. Filming began in mid-2025, with a likely release later this year. Despite a drop in viewership from Season 1 to 2, the series remains at the top of Disney+’s charts, with Season 4’s future still uncertain.
