SUKKUR, June 14: A man chopped off lips and ears of his wife in village Behram Banglani of Shikarpur, on Tuesday night.

According to reports received here, Soomri Banglani was asleep, when her husband Jalal Banglani attacked her with a knife, chopped off her lips and ears and fled.

The injured woman was taken to civil hospital, Shikarpur, where doctors stitched her wounds. Miss Bhagul, a relative of Soomri, told newsmen that Jalal Banglani was mentally deranged and he had tried many times to kill his wife.—BoC
