Avengers: Endgame returns before Doomsday
Marvel Studios will re-release Avengers: Endgame in theatres on September 25, 2026, just under three months before Avengers: Doomsday premieres on December 18, 2026. Both films are directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
Endgame, which earned nearly $2.8 billion worldwide, featured Robert Downey Jr’s final turn as Tony Stark. Doomsday will see Downey Jr return to the Marvel universe as the villainous Doctor Doom, alongside characters from Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four: First Steps and X-Men.
Production on Doomsday wrapped in 2025. Marvel head Kevin Feige said the theatrical experience was a key reason behind the decision to re-release Endgame.
Mario Kart World DLC hints at Donkey Kong
Nintendo fans are buzzing over the possibility of a Mario Kart World DLC, which may be revealed at the upcoming Game Awards. The game has received no major content updates since its release six months ago, but data miners have discovered an animation of King K. Rool dated December 15 in the Nintendo Today newsfeed, hinting at potential new content.
Speculation suggests the DLC could introduce characters and elements from Donkey Kong Bananza, including familiar faces like Funky Kong. With Donkey Kong Bananza expected to be spotlighted at the Game Awards, Nintendo may use the opportunity to expand Mario Kart World and maintain momentum for both franchises.
Power Rangers reboot in spring 2026
The upcoming Power Rangers live-action reboot for Disney+ is moving forward, with casting already underway and filming expected to begin in early spring 2026. Show runners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz, known for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, are leading the project.
The accelerated timeline suggests the reboot could arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. Alongside the series, new comics and merchandise — including Godzilla x Power Rangers figures and Zeo Funko Pops — are also planned, signalling a renewed push for the franchise.
