Yousuf stretched

KARACHI, June 11: Former world champion Mohammad Yousuf was stretched to limits by promising Atiq Latif Bux on his way to registering 5-4 win to cruise in the final of the 10th KC Open Snooker Challenge at the Karachi Club on Sunday.

Yousuf now meets Naveen Perwani who in the other pre-final disposed off Vishan Gir 5-1 in contrasting style.

Earlier, Yousuf made it to the semis inflicting 5-2 defeat on Sohail Shehzad while Naveen whipped qualifier Bharat Satiani 5-1.

In the two other quarterfinals, Atiq stunned reigning national champion Khurram Agha 5-2 while Vishan beat Salman Sheikh 5-1.

The best of 11 frames final will be played on Monday at 3.00pm.
