SIALKOT, June 11: A youth drowned here on Sunday in the canal near Head Marala after saving two minors from drowning. Reports said Khizar Hayyat (28) of Gojra along with his cousins had come to his relatives at Kharotta Syedan village for picnic at Head Marala.

Suddenly, two minor children of another picnicker fell into the canal. Khizar jumped into water, saved them, but lost his own life.

His body was shifted to DHQ hospital for autopsy.
