QUETTA: Rain, accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning, and snowfall are expected in upper areas of Balochistan from December 29 to 31.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre of Balochistan, the areas likely to receive rain and snowfall are Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Noshki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Barkhan, Sibi, Loralai, Musakhel, Turbat, Gwadar, Jiwani, Lasbela, Kech, Awaran, Chagai, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Washuk and Kharan.

The weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the province on Monday while very cold conditions will prevail in northern areas. Partly cloudy weather is expected in northern and northwestern areas.

Similarly, on Monday, most districts will experience cold and dry weather, with severe cold persisting in northern regions. However, during the evening and night, rain, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorm, and snowfall are expected in these areas.
