NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 9: More than 50 villagers from Karim Dino Dehraj staged a rally in Tharushah on Friday against a landlord who they said was trying to demolish their houses after getting forged ownership papers.

The protesters led by Ghulam Rasool Solangi, Mohammad Hussain Solangi and Ranjhan Solangi marched towards the office of nazim union council Tharushah and presented a memorandum.

They said that the landlord, Imam Ali Deheraj, had secretly got the title of their ancestral property changed and mutated in the name of just one old man, Mohammad Siddique Solangi. He then got the sale deed of all the 17 acres transferred to his name.

They said that they learnt about it when the landlord reached their village with tractors and labourers to demolish their houses where about 80 families were residing.

They appealed to the chief minister, district nazim and DCO Naushahro Feroze to conduct an impartial inquiry into the incident, take action against the concerned tapedars and mukhtiarkar and cancel the mutation of land.
