Strengthening judicial infrastructure vital for service delivery: SHC CJ

KARACHI: Sindh High Court Chief Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput on Tuesday said that strengthening judicial infrastructure was essential for enhancing institutional efficiency, accessibility and service delivery for litigants and the public.

He was speaking at an event held to lay the foundation stone of an auditorium, record room, affidavit and identity section as part of the access to justice programme.

The chief justice stated that the proposed auditorium will serve as a central platform for judicial conferences, training programmes, seminars and professional engagements with the bar thereby promoting continuous legal education and institutional coherence.

The state-of-the-art record room will ensure secure, systematic and efficient management of judicial records enabling timely retrieval, safeguarding archival integrity and reinforcing transparency and accountability in judicial processes, he added.

Justice Rajput also observed that the affidavit & identity section of SHC will streamline verification and documentation procedures and improving convenience for litigants and advocates while ensuring accuracy and authenticity in court proceedings.

He further said that the project in question was acknowledged as a meaningful step towards modernising judicial infrastructure and strengthening institutional capacity in line with contemporary standards of court administration and access to justice.
