Fresh notices in Taj Mahal film case

LAHORE, June 7: The Lahore civil judge here on Wednesday issued fresh notices to the respondents in the Taj Mahal film case for July 4, as only two defendants appeared before the court and extended the stay.

Earlier, the court had restrained cable operators from screening Indian movie Taj Mahal through cable network and issued notices to all the defendants.

The suit filed by Akbar Khan, distributor, Mashriq Communication (Private) Limited through Advocate Tariq Mahmood, submitted that he has invested heavy amount on the movie and he feared, the cable operators will affect his business.—APP
