PESHAWAR, June 7: The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Peshawar and Kabul Chamber of Commerce and Industry have agreed to form a joint Pak-Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said a press release.

The press release said that the SCCI president, Ghazanfar Bilour, informed visiting British High Commission’s Second Secretary Jason Lonsdale here on Wednesday that the terms and conditions for the proposed Pak-Afghan Chamber of Commerce were being formulated.

Ghazanfar Bilour said that the business community of the Frontier province was taking part in the reconstruction of Afghanistan.

He said that the formation of the joint chamber would improve trade and commerce activities between the two countries.

He said that regular export from the NWFP to Afghanistan was $26.15 million and it could be increased with the passage of time.
