KARACHI, June 7: Eight vessels including a car carrier and two carrying 30,000 tons of sugar are due at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Ever Guard, APL Jeddah, Mol Silver Fern to unload and load containers, Thor Falcon, Patton-1 to unload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed were led by Ever Guard, Athinoula and Feyza, while Patton-1, Rainbow Spring, Tug Captain Michalis, Thor Falcon, Mesaleed, APL Jeddah, Amar and D.D. Vigor are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 72,901 tons comprising 21,782 tons of export cargo and 51,119 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Bolan, Khairpur, with 15,000 tons of sugar each, Maersk Cloud, with 350 cars, Calvin P. Titus, Oel Aishwarya, Thor Captain, with containers, Kardaran Star, with steel and Free Fighter, with 7,100 tons of stainless steel.
