Referendum on exclusion of Islamiyat

LAHORE, June 3: The Muttahida Tulaba Mahaz on Saturday organised a referendum against the exclusion of Islamiyat from the curricula of primary classes and the Punjab governor’s secular agenda.

The MTM set up stalls in educational institutions in Lahore and other cities. According to a news release issued by the MSM spokesman, a large number of students participated in the referendum. He said MTM central president Raheel Anjum Shah, Islami Jamiat Tulaba Nazim-i-Aala Nasrullah Khan Goraya and other leaders visited different institutions and inspected referendum proceedings.

The spokesman said the stalls were set up in 13 educational institutions and nine public places in the city.

The referendum will continue on Sunday (today) to seek opinion from politicians, lawyers, doctors, teachers and other professionals.
