United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that the release of hostages provides momentum that must be used to end the conflict between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reports.

“I urge all parties to build on this momentum and to honour their commitments under the ceasefire to end the nightmare in Gaza,” he said on X.
