LAHORE, May 30: Some 71 fishermen were handed over to the Indian authorities at Wagah on Tuesday. Indian High Commission’s Second Secretary Balvander Humpal received the fishermen on behalf of his government.
Before returning home, the fishermen told newsmen that the Pakistani authorities had treated them well during their nine-month detention.
Mr Humpal said there were over 200 Indians in Pakistani jails.
Earlier, the fishermen were brought to Lahore in buses.
