Germany’s top diplomat is travelling to the Gulf region amid discussions over Trump’s Gaza plan that created hopes of stopping the conflict, Al Jazeera reports.

Wadephul will first discuss the situation in Gaza with Qatar’s PM following which he will attend a meeting of foreign ministers from the EU and the GCC in Kuwait, which currently holds the GCC chair.
